Pipe Layer – Underground Utilities
Top Pay • Public Work • Steady Hours plus $1000 sign on bonus
If you’re an experienced Pipe Layer who knows line, grade, and production — and you’re tired of bouncing between short jobs or underpaid private work — this is a chance to get paid what your skills are worth on long-term public infrastructure projects.
We’re looking for proven pipe layers to install storm, sanitary, and water utilities on major roadway and municipal projects. This is real heavy civil work with real pay, not patchwork repairs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water main systems on public infrastructure jobs
- Set and hold line and grade using lasers, levels, and string lines
- Prepare trenches including bedding, backfill, and compaction
- Work in and around trench boxes and shoring systems
- Align, connect, and seal pipe with proper materials and methods
- Check slope, alignment, and joint integrity — production and quality matter
- Work alongside operators, foremen, and crews who know the work
- Read and build from plans, details, and grade stakes
- Follow OSHA and job-specific safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years pipe laying experience in heavy civil or public utility work
- Proven experience on municipal, DOT, or state projects
- Strong understanding of trench safety and excavation practices
- Ability to work independently and keep production moving
- Reliable, professional, and takes pride in finished work
Pay & Perks (Here’s the Part That Matters)
- $45.00 – $70.00 per hour, depending on skill and production
- Rate work available for high performers
- Prevailing wage projects when applicable
- Consistent hours on long-term public work

Work Environment
Outdoor work on active construction sites. Expect heavy equipment, traffic zones, weather, and a fast-moving jobsite. If you know heavy civil, this won’t surprise you.
