Job Description
Our client, a corporate law firm in Boston, is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support their wealth management attorneys. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bring a proactive approach to administrative and client service needs, and serve as a trusted resource for both attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in the wealth management practice group.
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including correspondence, agreements, and estate planning materials.
- Manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and schedule client calls.
- Assist with client onboarding, engagement letters, and maintaining client files.
- Conduct document management, filing, and organization (both digital and paper).
- Track deadlines, manage reminders, and ensure timely filing/submissions.
- Communicate professionally with clients, financial advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense management.
- Perform basic legal research and prepare summaries, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or Paralegal within a law firm, or on a legal team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive client information.
- Interest in wealth management, corporate law, and estate planning is a plus.
