Job Summary:The Litigation Specialist will be responsible for the comprehensive handling of complex Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims. This includes coverage evaluation, legal strategy, litigation management, and resolution of multi-state cases. The role involves daily interactions with policyholders, risk managers, and agents and requires strong technical acumen, negotiation ability, and legal claim handling expertise.Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain appropriate adjuster licenses and continuing education credits across required states.
• Manage and resolve complex, litigated commercial liability claims involving multi-state jurisdictions.
• Conduct detailed investigations and evaluate coverage, liability, and damages.
• Collaborate closely with defense counsel to develop and execute litigation strategies.
• Identify risk transfer opportunities through contract and lease analysis.
• Write effective coverage position letters and manage litigation expenses.
• Represent the company at mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Serve as a technical resource for claim adjusters.
• Ensure high standards of productivity, confidentiality, and customer service.
• Operate independently, with discretion and sound judgment in high-stakes matters.

Required Skills:

• 3–5 years of Commercial General Liability (CGL) litigation experience at an insurance carrier.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; industry designation preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills in complex, adversarial settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads and litigation-related expenses.
• Experience interpreting laws, statutes, and case law relevant to liability claims.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience working in a paperless environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, resolve conflict, and manage relationships.
