Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in New Hampshire. This full-time, on-site position involves providing a range of psychological services to support students' emotional, academic, and social well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and adolescents, and a passion for helping students overe challenges to succeed in school and life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' cognitive, emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that support students mental health, academic, and behavioral development.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional or behavioral challenges such as anxiety, depression, bullying, or trauma.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement strategies to help students succeed in the classroom.
- Participate in the development and review of 504 plans and IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) for students with special needs.
- Provide crisis intervention services and support during critical incidents or emergencies.
- Offer consultation and professional development to school staff on mental health issues, classroom management, and student wellness.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on student assessments, progress, and intervention plans.
- Support the implementation of school-wide mental health programs and initiatives that promote student well-being.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid New Hampshire School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong munication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans.
- Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and counseling techniques.
- Ability to manage crisis situations and provide emotional support during emergencies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with psychological testing, assessments, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with social-emotional learning (SEL) programs and strategies.
- Experience working with a diverse student population.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks.
