Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS) is a high-performing K–12 public charter school located in Malden, Massachusetts, serving over 1,600 students. The school operates across four campuses:

Kindergarten: 576 Eastern Avenue
Lower School (Grades 1–8): 770 Salem Street

The school follows an extended day and extended year model, with classes held from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM over a 200-day academic year. Position Overview: Grades 1–6 History Teacher
Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable LGI (Large Group Instruction) History Teacher for Grades 1–6. This role involves delivering whole-class instruction and working collaboratively with grade-level teams to promote academic excellence and student growth across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction using the school’s rigorous History curriculum
Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and inform instructional planning
Analyze data to identify student needs and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and grade-level collaboration
Establish and maintain high academic and behavioral expectations, consistently reinforcing school-wide norms
Take ownership of student learning and ensure mastery of essential content
Communicate regularly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues
Participate in a mandatory three-week summer staff training and orientation program
