Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year at a high school in Acton, MA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
- Adapt general education curriculum to acmodate special education students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
- Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters student growth and independence.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction approaches and behavior management strategies.
- Excellent munication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
