We are seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects within our biopharmaceutical operations. This role will be responsible for leading cross-functional efforts from concept through project closeout while ensuring compliance with our Capital Project Management Process (CPMP). The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in construction project management, a working knowledge of automation/electrical systems, and experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects in alignment with the Capital Project Management Process (CPMP).
- Develop and implement project execution plans, project-specific EHS plans, and detailed schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
- Manage project costs including cost reporting, forecasting, and change order control; prepare funding requests and maintain capital dashboards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive risk management strategies and conduct root cause analysis on project-related issues.
- Ensure all project changes are captured through formal change controls and drive project validation, testing, start-up, and engineering documentation turnover.
- Coordinate training activities and facilitate project turnover to operational sponsors.
- Maintain strong alignment with internal stakeholders including engineering, operations, QA, and EHS teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing capital construction projects, preferably in a biopharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environment.
- Familiarity with automation control and electrical systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera P6, is a plus.
