Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available to support elementary students during a leave of absence from February 10, 2025, through June 16, 2026. This contract position offers a chance to work directly within an elementary school setting, helping to implement individualized education plans and foster a supportive learning environment for young learners with special needs.
Location:
- Elementary level school in Plaistow, NH
- Onsite position
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of elementary students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure inclusive and effective learning experiences
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in individualized education plan (IEP) meetings
- Use evidence-based strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social development goals
- Uphold compliance with state and federal educational requirements for special education
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education license
- Active New Hampshire teaching license
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
- Ability to work onsite full time (35 hours per week, Monday through Friday)
