Job Duties:

As a medical malpractice Associate, your role is dynamic and engaging, offering a perfect mix of independent responsibilities and collaborative teamwork.

You will manage your own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines.

Your days will be enriched by preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials, granting you invaluable courtroom experience.

Collaboration is crucial in this role, where you'll engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.

Clear and regular communication with clients will be essential, as you provide them with updates and interim written reports on their cases.

Additionally, you'll conduct in-depth legal research, preparing memoranda to bolster case strategies, while working alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.

Qualifications:

A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the Massachusetts State Bar.

2 to 6 years of medical malpractice experience.

Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests.

A self-starter mindset with at least two (2) years of trial experience in Massachusetts state and federal courts.

Ability to assist in mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings, requiring strong advocacy skills.

Experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions.

Attention to detail and effective communication skills are key.
