- Mechanical Assembler 1
- 100% onsite - 720 Silver St, Agawam MA
- $18-$20/hr. Pay range
Summary:
- Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products such as actuators, electronic case assemblies and their subassemblies performing the following duties.
- Show proficiency in some but not all of the products and processes that are being produced within the department after training.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Assemble parts following bills of materials, drawings and written work instructions
- Performs visual inspection and/or testing on assembled components.
- Bolts, clips, screws, or otherwise fasten parts together.
- Operates hydraulic presses, electric or pneumatic screwdrivers and other mechanical assembly aids.
- Works at different workstations as production needs require.
- Perform other functions including packing finished product and assembly of product kits.
- Works on different models of actuators and/or Electronic Assemblies.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience reading and following mechanical drawings to assemble products
- Comfortable using basic hand tools such as wrenches, hex keys and screwdrivers
Language Skills:
- Should be able to read and understand English.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic math skills required.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The employee must rarely move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee is able to alternate sitting and standing based upon what is comfortable to them.

Pay Range: $18-$20/hr on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
