This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Pharmacy Technician seeking a contract to hire position in the Cambridge, MA area. Working within a closed-door, long-term care pharmacy setting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely medication delivery to residents. This role offers exposure to Frameworks software, with training provided, and involves managing approximately 600 prescriptions daily in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose for timely distribution.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, closely monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date patient and medication records.
- Support daily pharmacy operations during assigned shifts and rotating weekends.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license is required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is preferred.
- Previous pharmacy experience, particularly in high-volume settings, is essential.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising accuracy.
Shift Details:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Rotating weekend schedule required
