We need your skills working full time with children ages 2 - 5 years of age in a multi-age, Reggio Emilia-inspired program. Be a part of a teaching team that does NOT adhere to strick schedules and follows the passions of the children to establish a rich and experiential curriculum in a home-like setting. Baking, gardening, sewing, pottery, engineering, writing/reading books with children and loving the outdoors are all daily practices at Stepping Stones. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques as needed.
  • Provide individualized attention to students, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
  • Engage in curriculum development that promotes holistic child development through play-based learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in preschool or childcare settings.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a structured yet flexible learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth.
