Job Details:

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in medical surgical telemetry unit
\n• May be asked to work as backup Charge Nurse
\n• Participate in patient and family teaching
\n• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and patient team personnel
\n• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in clinical setting
\n• Work with Cerner EMR system
\n• Nurse to patient ratio of 1 to 4/5 patients
\n• Average daily patient census of 22 patients
\n• May float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units
\n• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
\n• 8 hours of non-billable orientation
\n• 2 years recent Med Surg/Rehab experience required
\n• Charge RN experience required
\n• Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) required
\n• BSN preferred
\n• Must have own vehicle - firm requirement due to lack of public transportation
\n• Local travelers within 50 miles not eligible
\n• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
\n• Vermont nursing license required
\n• Strict 3 strike rule for call offs enforced - contract eligible for termination after 3 call offs
\n• Call offs must be communicated to unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
\n• Maximum 5 days of requested time off accepted (less preferred)
\n• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
\n\n
