A specialized Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available for a short-term summer position serving high school students within a supportive educational program in Ludlow, MA. This opportunity focuses on providing AAC-related services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences, emphasizing personalized skill-building for independence in a non-traditional educational setting.
Location: Ludlow, Massachusetts
Duration: Summer term from July 6, 2026, through August 7, 2026, with potential for extension into the 2026-2027 school year
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days
Setting: High school specialized program for students with ASD and learning differences
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver AAC services within a specialized high school setting, supporting students communication and independence
- Collaborate with educational staff to implement individualized strategies that address students unique learning needs
- Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other learning differences in a structured and supportive environment
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team discussions to promote student progress
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Appropriate state licensure in Massachusetts
- Experience with AAC services preferred; AAC evaluation experience not required
- Familiarity with school-based therapy services and IEP processes is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively within a specialized program tailored to students with ASD and other learning differences
