Job Description

At Torah Academy’s brand-new Early Childhood Center, we believe that early learning should be filled with joy, discovery, and purpose. More than just a place to care for young children, our center is a vibrant, nurturing community rooted in authentic Yiddishkeit and a deep respect for every child’s individual journey.

Our program is built around the values of warmth, curiosity, connection, and Jewish pride. We celebrate each child for who they are, support their social-emotional and cognitive development, and create a space where families feel welcomed and valued. As part of Torah Academy, a well-established school in the Boston Jewish community, our new center offers the excellence of tradition combined with the innovation of a fresh, newly renovated, early childhood-focused environment.

We are currently seeking a full-time Early Childhood Teacher to join our Early Childhood Center, working with our 2- to 3-year-olds. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow with a new program that puts children and relationships at the center.

This role is ideal for:

  • An experienced educator looking for a fulfilling early childhood teaching opportunity,
  • A retired teacher seeking meaningful engagement in the field they love.

What you will do:

  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom that supports young children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Build secure, nurturing relationships with children and families.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that spark curiosity and creativity.
  • Support daily routines with sensitivity and structure, ensuring safety and consistency.
  • Maintain clear and caring communication with families, sharing updates on developmental progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to build a cohesive, mission-driven center culture.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in early childhood education or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a licensed early childhood program
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with all staff, families, and children
  • A creative, compassionate educator who loves working with toddlers
  • Familiarity with Jewish values, traditions, and a desire to be part of a Yiddishkeit-centered program.
