Position Summary:
Were seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Wiring Installer to join our growing manufacturing facility in Barre, Vermont. This role is crucial to ensuring that our retrofit projects, new vehicle builds, and refurbishing efforts improve the quality, functionality, and reliability of our equipment. Youll work with pavement marking trucks and assist in installing and upgrading their electrical systems for optimal operation and longevity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring systems on pavement marking and highway construction trucks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Upgrade, retrofit, or install electrical systems on both refurbished and new vehicle builds to meet safety and performance standards.
- Maintain organized work areas, tool management, and documentation of installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with our fabrication team, sales team, and management.
- Perform quality checks and functional testing to ensure the equipment meets our standards for quality, functionality, and reliability.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Hands-on experience in automotive electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Proficiency in reading automotive blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to track work systematically.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and company standards.
- Vocational training, certification in automotive electronics, or equivalent experience is a plus.
