Vermont Cider Company is seeking an Overnight Maintenance Technician to join our team in Middlebury, VT. The Overnight Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on highly technical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment during the overnight hours (Monday to Thursday, 10pm-8:30am). This role will provide maintenance support at the end of the production day, assist the sanitation crew during the CIP process, and prepare the production line for startup.

Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Perform a variety of mechanical and electrical functions to include installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment.
- Work with Maintenance, Production, Sanitation and Management teams to maintain productivity and safety throughout the VCC facility.
- Repair and replace components and equipment after production is complete.
- Finish production pack-out when production runs past normal operating hours.
- Perform CIP’s on production equipment in Sanitation team members’ absence.
- Respond to verbal, written or work order generated requests for safety and functional concerns regarding machinery.
- Inspect down equipment, determine nature of repair and use critical thinking to replace, rework or refinish worn or damaged parts.
- Perform equipment change overs and setup for new product formats.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up time.
- Comply with all VCC policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are conducted within local, state and federal laws.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
- Prior electrical and mechanical experience helpful.
- Experience in food manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment preferred.
- Ability to perform mechanical work, replacement of motors, valves, and field devices.
