We are looking for a self-starter who has the mechanical aptitude to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of the buildings, machinery, and equipment.
- Performs general maintenance requests
- Performs monthly preventative maintenance
- Maintains the general appearance of the interior and exterior of buildings
- Bring maintenance and safety issues or suggestions for improvements and cost savings to the Supervisor.
- Performs pest, and weed control and mowing and trimming
- Fix general plumbing problems
- Drives the company vehicle as needed
- Responsible for snow and ice removal around doorways, storage sheds, and propane tanks.
- Perform safety inspections
- Performs basic carpentry projects, drywall repair, and painting
- Serves as backup to custodial staff
Requirements:
- High School diploma and 1 to 3 years of experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion in a timely fashion
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong carpentry and painting skills
- Light electrical and plumbing skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong team player
