Job Title: Pharmacist

Work Schedule: Evening shift 3:30 pm-12 am, rotating weekends and holidays.

Position Overview
The Pharmacist is responsible for supporting and advancing the pharmacy's operational goals and ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient medication dispensing. This role provides comprehensive drug screening, drug information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems. Strong management skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are essential to ensure that all medication products reach customers safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions

Execute daily pharmacy operations related to workflow, production goals, and deadlines.

Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Maintain adherence to DEA regulations and third-party payer requirements.

Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure efficient order entry, workflow, security, and delivery schedule adherence.

Verify completeness and accuracy of all new and refill prescriptions, labels, packaging, and drug contents.

Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of sterile IV drug products and solutions.

Assist with ordering, handling, receiving, documenting, and storing controlled substances, including maintaining perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.

Provide coverage during evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as assigned.

Ensure daily clearing of workflow dashboards.

Comply with government regulations, including HIPAA.

Follow all departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Active pharmacist license in good standing within the state of MA

Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, prescription interpretation, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in pharmacy management systems, prescription processing software, and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
