Position Overview:
Under the direction of the School Age Director, the Site Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Before and After School programs. This includes supervising staff, developing and implementing curriculum, and ensuring all activities align with NH Child Care Licensing regulations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to lead, inspire, and make a difference in the lives of children while building meaningful relationships with families and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement daily programs and curriculum at the assigned site (before and/or after school hours)
- Ensure compliance with NH Child Care Licensing regulations and maintain necessary documentation
- Incorporate Character Development principles and role model YMCA core values
- Supervise, train, and mentor site staff and volunteers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school staff, administrators, and parents
Work Shifts & Hours:
- Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
- Program Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:45 AM – 8:30 AM and/or 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Additional hours available for administrative tasks, school vacations, and no school days
Pay Range:
Starting at $18.00+ per hour, depending on experience
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 20 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- One of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Recreation, or a related field
- Associate’s degree in Child Development, Education, Recreation, or a related field
- Certification in Recreation Directing plus 1000 hours of experience working with children
- 12 college credits in Child Development, Education, or related fields plus 1000 hours of experience working with children
- Current certification as an Educator by the Department of Education
- 2000 hours of experience working with children and either current Para II educator certification or specific educational requirements (detailed in the original listing)
