Experienced Professional Massachusetts Licensed Home Inspector

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate. Candidate should be capable of participating in a professional work environment, delivering high-level, detailed, time-sensitive services to clients, including detailed reporting. This job can be demanding at times but is also extremely rewarding.

Inspector is responsible for a variety of inspection services, including residential, commercial, and property consultation services, Wood Destroying Insect inspection, Radon Testing, and other diagnostic services.

Applicant must be a fully licensed/registered professional Home Inspector or Associate Home Inspector in Massachusetts

Qualifications:

· Minimum two years of Home Inspection experience – completed at minimum 50 Home Inspections

· Strong knowledge of wide range of building types, practices, common defects of various ages of homes

· Strong knowledge of structural aspects of residential construction

· Ability to work independently

· Desire and follow-through to do things correctly

· Fully functional, dependable, late-model vehicle with capability to add ladder-carrying equipment rack

· Attention to detail and follow-through

· Strong writing and communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Excitement and interest in communication with clients and agents during inspections

· Previous or current trades experience

· Excellent computer skills, flexible with new software and multiple platforms (handheld and desktop)

· Valid MA Driver's License

This position is physically demanding, and requires specific physical qualifications. If you do not meet or are unwilling to accept these physical demands of the job, please do not apply. Inspector must be capable of and willing to:

· Work well in periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, accessing areas through hatches and crawlspaces

· Lift over 45 Lbs.

· Use of ladders confidently

· Climb ladders and roofs confidently (where safe)

· Working comfortably in all seasonal weather including snow, rain, below-freezing temperatures

· Willing to drive to and from job sites, including traffic and parking

· High level of energy, willing to arrive at appropriate times and stay at until the job is done

· Wearing tool belt and carry tools

· Work out of a vehicle during workday

Additional Desired Qualifications:

· Radon Testing or Mitigation Experience

· Advanced degree or experience in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

· Commercial Property Inspection

· Infrared Camera Certification or experience

· Mold/IAQ experience

· Other testing/inspection/diagnostic work

· Other service-based experience

· High confidence and skill in communications

Duties:

· Home Inspection and reporting

· Consultations with clients

· Professional Association Membership

· Related Continuing Education

· Regular team meetings and communications

· Agent and client interfacing

This position is for a W-2 employee. A company vehicle is provided after initial employment, Vehicle expense, Tools, Professional Insurance, Worker’s Comp, Continuing Education, Certifications, and License fees are paid by the company. SIMPLE IRA retirement match program when eligible. This is NOT a trainee position. Only currently licensed Home Inspectors should apply. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
