About the Role:
This position is for a Press Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining stamping presses to produce precision metal components. The role focuses on ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety while supporting continuous improvement in production processes. This is a full-time, on-site position with hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering a temp-to-perm opportunity. The maximum hourly rate for this role is $28 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor stamping presses and related equipment to meet production and quality standards.

Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules to determine material specifications and job requirements.

Perform metal fabrication functions such as cutting, shearing, punching, bending, crimping, or straightening materials.

Inspect parts for quality defects, ensuring conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.

Record production data and maintain accurate logs of output and machine performance.

Troubleshoot press operations, identify issues, and recommend process improvements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.

Collaborate with supervisors and maintenance personnel to ensure optimal machine uptime and productivity.

Assist with equipment setups, die changes, and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 4 years of metal stamping or press operation experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and production instructions.

Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Compensation and Schedule:
