Full-time Concierge (2pm-11pm)

In this role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for residents, offering personalized services and fostering a welcoming community atmosphere.

Your responsibilities:

  • Identify and clarify residents' needs, answer questions, and provide directions and instructions.
  • Anticipate resident needs, assist with scheduling and tracking maintenance requests, and organize social events.
  • Monitor security cameras for unauthorized vehicles parked in tenant-designated spaces, and promptly initiate towing procedures when necessary. Candidate must be comfortable professionally confronting individuals occupying these spaces.
  • Gather and evaluate resident feedback to improve services.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the community's reputation.
  • Stay updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities and personal networking.
  • Enhance the community’s reputation by accepting new challenges and exploring ways to add value.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain the lobby, front entrance, workstation, and other surrounding areas, ensuring cleanliness and stocked supplies.
  • Assist with resident experience initiatives such as newsletters, the concierge calendar, social media accounts and event announcements, keeping materials current.

Day-to-day tasks:

  • Greet prospects and residents as they enter the community, ensuring their comfort while they wait for tours.
  • Greet and assist delivery personnel with resident incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Answer and route phone calls to the appropriate team member and assist with service request follow-ups.
  • Maintain the guest suite schedule for proper payment and cleanliness and manage the loading dock/elevator schedule for move-ins and move-outs.
  • Manage all package deliveries, documenting arrival information and keeping track of notifications via Notifii App.
  • Keep detailed information on local area restaurants, shops, delivery places, and other points of interest for residents, maintaining relationships with concierge vendors.
  • Check and replenish amenity inventories, ensuring cleanliness.
  • Ensure phone calls, texts, and emails are answered and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update resident information in the computer database, concierge phone, and document library daily.
  • Enforce parking rules and arrange for the towing of improperly parked vehicles.

Skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college courses in business or hospitality preferred.
  • Experience in a rental/leasing environment preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Chat GPT, and current mobile technology.
  • Multilingual abilities in Spanish are a plus.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset and capability of making every guest feel valued.
  • At least two years of experience in a customer service environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize time effectively.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
  • Stand upright for long periods, walk, and climb stairs.
  • Detect auditory and visual emergency alarms and respond promptly.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Ascend or descend stairs and ramps, sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Hourly range: $19 - $23, based on skills, experience, and education.
  • Eligible for discretionary bonuses after six months of employment.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, holidays, personal days, sick time, and parental leave (8 paid holidays, 6 personal/sick days).
