We’re looking for a creative and energetic Health and Wellness Specialist to design and lead inclusive wellness programming that enhances the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of individuals with developmental disabilities. What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement engaging wellness activities that promote physical fitness, emotional wellbeing, and community connection for individuals served.
- Plan weekly programming that may include movement, music, art, mindfulness, volunteer opportunities, spirituality, and self-advocacy.
- Facilitate individualized and group wellness plans, collaborating with ISP teams and integrating person-centered goals.
- Develop community partnerships with local resources such as food pantries, cultural groups, fitness centers, and art/music venues.
- Support program participants in the community, including providing transportation and hands-on participation in activities and outings.
- Train and guide program staff in wellness strategies and activity implementation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, track participation and progress, and contribute to program quality improvement.
- Ensure safety and accessibility, modeling healthy behavior and upholding all organizational and regulatory policies.

Requirements:What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of wellness, activity planning, and inclusive health practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Valid driver’s license (MA, NH, RI) and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to actively engage in physical activities, including walking, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and participating in outings and movement-based programs, in order to meet the needs of the individuals supported.
