A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Chester, Vermont for the uping school year on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs by delivering tailored educational programs that promote academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt classroom instruction and materials to meet students varying abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in pliance with legal regulations.
- Provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional strategies.
- Excellent munication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
- Patience, flexibility, and mitment to student success.
