Job Overview
As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff to assist students with special needs. Your role will involve providing classroom support, implementing accommodations, and helping students stay engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students.
- Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and transitions.
- Support students with behavioral, social, and academic development.
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior strategies.
- Encourage independence and positive peer interactions.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Experience working in education, childcare, or special education is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to different student needs and learning styles.
