Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An elementary special education teacher position is available for a contract through the uping school year. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction for students in grades K-4 within a substantially separate classroom designed to meet therapeutic needs.
Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Setting: Elementary school
Duration: August 25, 2025 June 19, 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to support both academic and therapeutic goals
- Collaborate with related service providers, families, and school staff to support student progress
- Monitor and assess student development and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation in pliance with educational regulations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience teaching in an elementary special education setting, preferably in a substantially separate or therapeutic classroom environment
- Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional practices and modifications for diverse learners
- Effective munication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
