Job Description

Chief Medical Officer Opportunity in Springfield, VTFull-time executive leadership role in a mission-driven outpatient care settingLead clinical strategy, quality initiatives, and provider engagement across multiple care disciplinesIncludes protected administrative time with approximately 16 hours per week of patient-facing careKey Responsibilities:Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical services, including medical, behavioral health, dental, and vision careEnsure high-quality, patient-centered services and compliance with regulatory requirementsServe as part of the executive leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiativesDrive quality improvement and patient safety through audits, provider training, and performance monitoringRecruit, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff while fostering a collaborative, learning-focused cultureRepresent the organization in professional and community settings and advocate for public health prioritiesMaintain open communication channels and support integrated care delivery across disciplinesRequirements:MD or DO with board certification (preferably in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine & Pediatrics)Active or eligible for licensure in both Vermont and New HampshireMinimum 5 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in a leadership capacityExperience working in FQHC or community health setting preferredStrong skills in leadership, communication, change management, and regulatory complianceCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageAll outpatient care with limited call requirementsGenerous PTO plus paid holidaysMedical, dental, vision, and pet insurance options401(k) with employer matchTuition assistance and eligibility for NHSC/AHEC loan repayment programsProfessional development and CME supportWork in a vibrant community with excellent access to outdoor recreation and cultural amenities
