JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join our team! You will measure parts to verify conformance to requirements as defined on the part blueprint. You will need to be proficient in using common inspection tooling for metalworking such as: micrometer, caliper, height gage, pin gage and cmm vision system. Inspections will be performed at first piece, in-process (including roving floor inspection) and final piece.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough examinations of all first piece parts, work-in-process parts and finished products to verify conformance
- Document results of measurement analysis
- Implement, improve, and control measuring procedures and methods
- Participate in routine visual inspections
- Provide accurate interpretation of blueprint requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in quality inspection or other related fields
- Excellent blueprint reading skills
- Strong understanding of GD & T principles
- Previous experience using common measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Computer skills required: Microsoft Office including Outlook, experience with electronic
vision measuring systems.
