This full-time paraprofessional position offers an opportunity to support a high school student in a close working relationship within the classroom setting. The role focuses on providing one-on-one assistance to a fully verbal male student on the autism spectrum, ensuring he receives the additional support needed to succeed academically and socially.

Location:

  • Concord, NH
  • High School setting

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a student on the autism spectrum during the school day from 7:20 am to 2:30 pm
  • Assist with academic tasks and classroom activities to promote student engagement and understanding
  • Facilitate positive social interactions and help develop student independence
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational plans and strategies tailored to the students needs
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with the educational team

Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a paraprofessional or similar role, preferably in a school setting
  • Ability to work one-on-one with students who have autism spectrum disorder
  • Strong communication skills and patience to support a diverse learning environment
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
