Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting patients throughout the entire visit experience under direction of the Physicians and management. This is a role that requires the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional in stressful situations. This is a great opportunity for anyone that may be looking to add clinical and patient care to their resume for medical or PA school. You will have the opportunity to be a part of research projects and have direct patient interaction.

Responsibilities:
Patient Coordination and Office Support
- Greet and register patients
- Handle front office administrative tasks including answering phones and emails
- Direct patient flow and assist patients to/from exam rooms
- Enter medical data into patient charts, including scanning documents & uploading photos
- Process requests for medical records
- Schedule appointments and other administrative tasks
- Ensure cleanliness of patient lounge, office, surgical suite and lavatories
- Attend and participate in staff meetings
- Empty trash (including sharps/biohazardous waste) and schedule pick-ups as needed
Healthcare Support
- Perform all required triage duties including taking vitals and taking photos
- Collect biological specimens and perform testing when requested
- Clean and prepare exam rooms based on scheduled procedures
- Remove sutures and staples
- Clean and sterilize instruments
- Maintain medical supply inventory and restock exam rooms
- Assist with post-op patient care
- Assist physician with patient care when requested
- Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance within the practice
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Current CPR certification
- Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with the medical team
- Ability to establish and maintain professional atmosphere for patients and employees
- Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision
- Proactive approach to problem solving and adaptable to different situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
