Available during Core Business Hours – 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Available for service calls after hours.

**Level/Salary Range:

$30.00 - $42.00

**Position Summary:

**

To provide maintenance on commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience.

**Required Qualifications / Achievements:

**

  • High School Diploma

  • Gas Service License

  • Lift License

  • Confined Space Certification

  • EPA Certification

  • Heating/AC Certificate

  • OSHA 30

  • NFPA 70E

  • Rigger and Signal Certification

  • Possess proper hand tools

  • Willingness to invest time in seminars and classes (Continued education)

  • Demonstrate commitment to customer service skills

  • Ability to turn in timecard without assistance and on time!

  • Ability to do a full compressor change out

  • Demonstrate Mechanical Aptitude

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Insurable driving record

  • Ability to work from 28’ Extension Ladder

  • Ability to work from 12’ Step Ladder

  • Ability to work from different heights

  • Ability to operate power & hand tools safely

  • Ability to complete math calculations correctly

  • Ability to load and unload trucks as needed

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions

  • Ability to communicate in English

  • Ability to comply with all Safety Rules

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

**

  • Attendance is an essential function of the job

  • Operate Company Vehicle

  • Follow instructions from Supervisor or Dispatcher

  • Accurately complete work in a timely manner

  • Report problems with company tools or vehicles promptly

  • Have the ability to work staggered schedules if required.

  • Ability to take “on-call” responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Must

    to adhere to company dress code/uniform policy

  • Limit use of vulgar language

  • Willingness to continue education

  • Learn new skills

  • Properly run condensate drains per code

  • Run refrigerant piping

  • Ability to install and program VFD (Variable Frequency Drives)

  • Ability to charge an AC/Refrigeration system

  • Knowledge and understanding of building controls

  • Ability to charge an AC/Refrigeration system

  • Ability to install HVAC systems, boiler systems and pumps

  • Properly use safety equipment, PPE’s such as gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, safety gear as per company policy

  • Properly fill out stock removal forms

  • Obtain positive customer reviews

  • Complete timecard reporting on a daily basis through the company timecard program

  • Service forms completed in the required time frames

  • Keep all items within traveling vehicles properly secure and tided down

  • Pick up parts from vendors when required

  • Safely work off of all ladders

  • Maintain and use power tools – drills, Sawzall’s, circular saws, piper cutters, shear, chop saw

  • Maintain and use hand tools

  • Maintain company vehicle; maintenance program

  • Keep company vehicle and tools in clean and orderly conditions

  • Report vehicle deviancies; such as tires and oil changes etc.

  • Report to Dispatcher when arriving and leaving a call or job site

  • Complete all service-related forms

  • Ability to assess amount of time to complete a task

  • Understanding of chillers, pump curves and hydronic piping

  • Understanding of controls

  • VRF Service and install

  • Arrive at jobsite at scheduled time and location as dispatched

  • Relocate from one jobsite to another as dispatched during a workday

  • Report equipment issues to the Supervisor and Dispatcher promptly

  • All tool purchases require Supervisor approval

  • Purchase Orders are Vendor specific (Cannot be uses at another Vendor)

  • Do not smoke on customer premises or property

  • Maintain all licenses and certifications

  • Properly prepare job site using drop cloths, moving furniture and prepare surface areas using floor protectors

  • Basic knowledge of wiring HVAC systems

  • Properly follow safety guidelines and protocols required by the customers and general contractors

  • Properly follow the stock removal and inventory protocols

  • Keep job site clean and orderly on a daily basis

    • Remove and Sweep up daily

    • Dispose of trash regularly

  • Knowledge and ability to properly complete cleaning and maintenance of cooling and heating coils

  • Ability to remove and install replacement HVAC systems

  • Ability to assemble stock required list for the installation of HVAC systems

  • Obtain PO

  • In-depth knowledge of wiring HVAC systems

  • Use and perform workflow process on the service software through the mobile devices

  • Obtain knowledge of building automation systems and their functions

  • Know Standard Pressure Test procedures

    • Triple EVAC

    • Superheat / sub cooling

    • Charging an existing unit

    • Understand charged based off of TXV or fixed metering device

    • Understand what are non-condensable’ s

    • Take oil sample / Acid test

    • Line set flush

    • Brazing

  • Ability to trouble shoot boilers

  • Ability to determine parts that are susceptible to failure; such as pulleys, shives, heat exchanges, and pump seals

  • Knowledge of how to purge water systems

  • Ability to carry 100 lbs. overhead with assistance

  • Ability to work independently

  • Pump rebuilds

  • Ability to maintain cooling towers

  • While preforming the duties of this position, the employee is required to walk, stoop, balance on feet, talk, hear, squat, climb, reach about their head and drive a company vehicle. They will use their hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing 50-100lbs. Use of visions abilities include, close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

  • Work in confined spaces for short periods of time. (Must be certified)
