Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an 11-week Med/Surg Telemetry float pool assignment, requiring an active NH or compact RN license and at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a hospital float pool covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- 12-hour night shifts throughout the assignment
- Assignment duration is 11 weeks
- Potential to float between multiple nearby hospital locations as needed
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible, but a local pay rate applies
- Weekly orientation is provided for travelers
- Permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- Travelers may be asked to float to other area hospital campuses as needed
- Request Time Off (RTO) must be included at time of consideration
- Work attire or scrub requirements are not specified in this posting

- Active NH RN license or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 1-2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Critical Care RNs may be considered if fluent with Med/Surg patient ratios and acuity
- Current BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required prior to start
- ACLS certification preferred
- Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%
- Valid driver’s license with matching address required for consideration
- Skills checklist matching specialty required
- Must provide two recent charge or manager RN references and three references total once committed
