Quality Technician Food Manufacturing

Location: Chelsea, MA
Job Type: Long-Term Temporary Assignment

Pay: $17/hr

Shift: We have multiple openings for the following shifts:

• Sunday-Wednesday- 5AM-Finish (around 3-4pm)
• Monday-Friday- 3PM- Finish (10-11PM)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Technicianto join our food manufacturing’s client team. In this role, you’ll ensure product quality and food safety through routine inspections and monitoring. Key tasks include line clearance, weight checks, pallet inspections, Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring, sampling, and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce and adhere to FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for QA tasks
• Perform line clearance inspections during packaging or product changes
• Conduct hourly product weight verifications
• Monitor finished case labels and ensure accuracy
• Continuously monitor CCPs such as metal detectors
• Prepare product samples for lab analysis
• Observe and report deviations in production
• Monitor cold chain integrity throughout production
• Verify thermometer and scale calibrations daily
• Provide guidance to team members not following GMPs or food safety procedures

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and write English proficiently
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to use scanners, thermometers, and other QA tools
• Candidates with restaurant or fast-food experience are strongly encouraged to apply

Work Environment

• Refrigerated production and warehouse facilities (cold, wet, and loud conditions)
• Frequent standing, stooping, and bending for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Proper PPE provided
