Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opening opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in a middle school setting located in Dover, NH. This is a long-term substitute contract position with a duration between a couple of months up to the remainder of the school year, to be determined. The role involves providing specially designed instruction to students in a resource room setting, working with small groups and one-on-one, as well as supporting students in the general education classroom.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instruction to students with special needs in a resource room setting
- Supporting students' learning and participation within the general education classroom
- Collaborating with staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Managing classroom activities within the school day from 7:30 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education Teacher certification is required
- Experience in special education, particularly with middle school-aged students
- Ability to provide instruction both one-on-one and in small group settings
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
