JOB SUMMARYThe Precision Parts Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and inspecting optics prior to the application of thin film coatings. This includes both manual and automated cleaning processes, as well as completion of all associated paperwork and electronic transactions using Epicor Shop Floor Management Software. Candidates must meet DOD/ITAR requirements; immigration sponsorship is not supported. PPE requirements include steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and clean room gown.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify serial numbers, count, and condition of all materials received in the department for coating
- Clean all parts daily per standard operating procedures and kit per standard load sizes
- Complete all required paperwork and issue Acceptance Test Plans for every lot cleaned and kitted
- Interface with technicians and supervisors from other departments to discuss rejections and ensure timely transition of parts
- Perform monthly inventory checks to verify accuracy of Coating Department inventory system and report discrepancies
- Operate and clean the Ultrasonic clean line per standard operational procedures
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent eyesight for close inspection
- Ability to perform repetitious tasks
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs daily
- Willingness to work in conditions with heat, noise, odors, and chemical hazards
- Experience with cleanroom, assembly, or inspection desired
- Experience handling precision components and cleaning critical surfaces desired
Preferred QualificationsExperience with MIL specification interpretation
