WORKING CONDITIONS:&nbsp; 
Correction Officers work in a correctional facility on a 24/7 basis and are required to work on varied shifts (7/3; 3/11; 11/7), weekends, nights, holiday and are subject to being forced to work over eight (8) hours depending on operational needs.&nbsp; Correction Officers may encounter verbal and physical abuse from offenders; interact with people who are under physical and/or emotional stress; stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; work alone in an isolated area; required to lift and carry heavy objects and; restrain inmates/detainees in accordance with policy.&nbsp; Correction Officers may also work under exposure to adverse weather conditions.&nbsp; 
Individuals selected for the position of Correction Officer shall be cognizant of the confidential and sensitive nature of working in a law enforcement agency and must comply with all institutional rules regarding safety and security.
QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp; 
<ul>
<li>Twenty-one [21] years of age;</li>
<li>Graduated from high school or possess a GED equivalency certificate;</li>
<li>Active valid driver’s license, good communication skills, and the ability to pass a required criminal background check, including a drug screening.</li>
</ul>

Salary:&nbsp; Starting annual base salary is $66,822.49&nbsp;plus additional incentives, bonuses and employment benefits&nbsp;, including a $2,500 sign on bonus.&nbsp;

Summary: The Direct Support Professional 2 will support and assist in Level 2 residential programs. Staff will help individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Individuals may require moderate physical assistance or accommodation. Staff will receive and must pass specialized training to provide enhanced supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities, including behavioral support or enhanced medical care.
Schedule: Saturday 5:00PM-11:00PM, Sunday 9:00AM-11:00PM (20 hours)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ol>
<li>Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.</li>
<li>Create opportunities and provide support to individuals to make decisions to develop their skills and foster independence.</li>
<li>Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide support and assist individuals with all medical, clinical, and financial needs.</li>
<li>Transport and accompany individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.</li>
<li>Maintain required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.</li>
<li>Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.</li>
<li>Maintain core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.</li>
<li>Maintain other additional required training and certifications as required by the program.</li>
<li>Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ol>
Required Education/Experience: 
<ol>
<li>Must have a high school diploma or GED. Associates or DSP Certification preferred.</li>
<li>A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.</li>
</ol>
Required Skills/Knowledge: 
<ol>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills so that the writing of required documents is clear and articulate.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience.</li>
<li>Computer literacy includes the ability to use proficiently Microsoft products and web-based applications used by the agency.</li>
