We are a growing property management company, celebrating our 40th year of service, overseeing state-of-the-art and luxury residential buildings across the Boston metro area. We are actively seeking a Concierge Valet to join the MMC team!
Our Concierge team members are customer service driven and act as the first point of contact for the property residents and guests. Team members are responsible for creating an outstanding client experience through exceptional service and attention to detail.
This position reports to the Lead Concierge and will be responsible for greeting clients as they enter the building and assisting with their specific needs. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the concierge field, hotel, or customer service experience. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Duties include but are not limited to:

<li>Position requires person to work from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday.</li>
<li>Act as liaison between the building and Property Manager and work closely with the Building Superintendent.</li>
<li>Provide access control; use security cameras and patrol building to monitor access points and ensure that the building is secure at all times.</li>
<li>Greet residents/visitors/vendors when they arrive ensuring guests who do not live on the property are logged into the visitor or vendor log.</li>
<li>Perform applicable administrative tasks like file/log and computer system updates relevant to building operations and maintain shift notes including "pass-on" logs to ensure successful communication through shift changes.</li>
<li>May be asked to assist with filing documents or to review the daily activity of various transactions that take place at the community by auditing files. Function as clerical support as time or shift coverage permits.</li>
<li>Required to drive, park, and retrieve resident and guest vehicles in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintain excellent relationships with local restaurants, theaters, and venues. Research current events and happenings in the neighborhood. Make knowledgeable recommendations to residents and their guests.</li>
<li>Capable of procuring reservations, tickets, guest accommodations, museum and gallery exhibit passes.</li>
<li>Assist the Lead Concierge in maintaining the schedule for resident move-ins/outs and elevator usage through appropriate coordination with Property Manager.</li>
<li>Ensure that new residents receive the necessary orientation to the community and are familiar with the services provided both at the community and through the Concierge Desk.</li>
<li>Coordinate receipt and delivery of incoming and outgoing packages including dry cleaning per the building policy.</li>
<li>Immediately contacts emergency maintenance personnel if an emergency maintenance situation develops.</li>
<li>Enters maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner to ensure that resident requests are submitted properly. Follows up on all completed request as requested to ensure resident satisfaction.</li>
<li>In the case of emergency, contact the applicable public service response organization and the Property Manager and follow applicable emergency procedures as directed in the property manual.</li>
<li>Follow procedures, policies, and other important correspondence from HQ. Receive maintenance requests and pass to the appropriate manager in a prompt manner.</li>
<li>Assists with organization, set-up, implementation, and clean-up of all resident events hosted by the community.</li>
<li>Immediately contacts emergency maintenance personnel if an emergency maintenance situation develops.</li>
<li>Required to remove snow from sidewalks and steps and apply ice melt.</li>
<li>Complete other additional projects as requested by the lead concierge or property manager.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications/Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Concierge must have and maintain a valid driver's license.</li>
<li>A minimum of 2 years’ customer service experience required.</li>
<li>Must be on time and able to stay awake during the entire shift.</li>
<li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time.</li>
<li>Must have general computer skills to perform administrative and clerical tasks, including time entry.</li>
<li>Ability to drive a manual transmission, highly preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to work with minimal supervision. Self-motivated, reliable individual who can anticipate and resolve issues.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Able to remain calm and attentive, especially during heavy building activity and emergencies.</li>

Under the supervision of the Membership Director, this person is responsible for providing care of children who participate in the childcare program and maintaining open communication with parents. Child Watch and Club House staff is also responsible for providing exceptional customer service and shall act as a relationship builder with all members, participants, staff, and guests.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: 
• Ensure that children and parents are greeted in a pleasant, professional manner.
• Engage children in conversation and activities that will assist in transition anxiety.
• Provide a safe, caring, fun environment for all children, in accordance with our child safety policies.
• Participate and engage in age-appropriate activities with children while maintaining supervision of all children in the program.
• Maintain discipline and order by way of redirection. Contact parents if their child can’t be comforted, is ill, or injured, in accordance with our policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and care of childcare rooms, equipment, and facility.
• Maintain materials and supplies in proper order and restock as necessary. Report to Director if equipment needs repair or replacement. 
• Present a professional manner through a neat and clean appearance. Dress code adherence is required.
• Use proper/appropriate language and tone of voice at all times.
• Communicate both positive and negative behaviors of children in the program to their parents, in privacy, in a constructive manner.
• Communicate with co-workers to ensure supervision is maintained in all areas at all times. 
• Complete accident/incident forms as needed. Communicate incidents to the Director on Duty. Complete behavioral warnings as needed. Notify the Welcome Center/Director on Duty of any emergency, accident, injury, or incident. First aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of hire. 
• Take responsibility for assigned shifts, arranging coverage if unable to be on duty, with approval of Membership Director.
• Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled.
• Fulfill office duties, such as filing, copying, and assisting with mailings, as assigned, during slow periods.
• Present and uphold YMCA of Greater Springfield policies, and demonstrate core values of the YMCA.

 QUALIFICATIONS:
