Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:

Staff have the ability to be trained as either a Lifeguard or Swim Instructor, or both for interested candidates.

The Athletic Trainer/Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing for clinic visits and procedures, preparing and assisting patients during visits, and assisting providers with patient care and follow up.
 
Candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated and possess a strong team mentality. Position requires excellent communication skills with patients and staff, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment. Pay range commensurate with experience.
 
This position is 4 days a week, 10 hour days.

<li>Opens and closes the provider pod daily</li>
<li>Reviews provider schedules in advance, preps charts and equipment</li>
<li>Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting room to exam rooms, prepares patient for exam or procedure, completes rooming and patient intake, provides patient education</li>

Responsibilities:

<li>Maintains constant surveillance of the pool area.</li>
<li>Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Completes related reports as required.</li>

<li>Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area. Takes responsibility for implementing and supporting the change of policies and procedures.</li>

FMC operates 25 public ice-skating arenas across the state of Massachusetts in long-term partnership agreements with the Commonwealth and various municipalities as well as educational institutions.
 
FMC is looking for Lead Instructors to work under the general supervision of each program's Supervisor. These positions assist or instruct groups and related lessons for FMC learn to skate and/or learn to play programs. General responsibilities will include interacting with children and adults, demonstrating proper skating techniques, and performing various customer experience related duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

<li>Applicants must be able to ice skate proficiently. Figure skaters should have achieved and passed ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4 and up. Hockey players should have participated in multiple years of formal league play.</li>

Compensation: Base pay range: $22 - $32 per hour for instructor-related work. Pay based on experience and industry-related qualifications. Pay range for non-instructor-related work is $16-$17 per hour based on Instructor level.
