Job Description
The on-call caregiver should be a seasoned, experienced caregiver for senior citizens. HHA or CNA certification is desired, but a strong work history with elderly clients would be seriously considered if applicant was non-certified.&nbsp; The on-call caregiver has potential to make a significant amount of money. Full time work, overtime pay and a flat rate on call payment could all be combined in one pay period to make for a large payout.&nbsp; Referral bonus, sign on bonus, mileage pay, merit bonus, holiday pay and more are also available.&nbsp; The main function of the on-call&nbsp;caregiver is to be available outside of regular business hours to the On Call Supervisor in order to fill last minute call outs and urgent client needs.&nbsp; To assist clients in their own homes with activities of daily living, boost their spirits, and significantly improve their quality of life, by delivering quality and safe home health care services. The On Call Caregiver accepts responsibility for his/her own actions and:

<li>Agrees to be On Call during specific hours and specific days. </li>
<li>Will be paid a stipend for being On Call in addition to an hourly wage for any hours worked with clients. </li>
<li>Will return all phone calls within 15 minutes during the time period On Call. May receive calls at ANY time prior to or during the On Call Shift, i.e. may be called at midnight to go in for an overnight if On Call 8pm-8am.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li>
<li>Must be able to leave to see a client within 30 minutes of getting a call from the On Call Supervisor. </li>
<li>Will accept all assignments given during the time period On Call, regardless of location.&nbsp; This includes some assignments in assisted livings and hospice programs where we are assisting with staffing needs. </li>
<li>Forfeits On Call stipend if refuses to comply with any of the above responsibilities.&nbsp; </li>
<li>Provides necessary information on their own health status and experience.</li>
<li>Reviews client care plans prior to providing care. </li>
<li>Has reliable transportation to see any clients needing service during On Call time period. </li>
<li>Communicates with the agency about problems and concerns.</li>
<li>Completes required documentation accurately and on a timely basis.</li>
<li>Respects and maintains client confidentiality at all times.</li>
<li>Reports concerns of client abuse or neglect.</li>
<li>Refrains from discussing personal problems, concerns, or opinions with client, or client representatives.</li>
<li>Maintain access to an email account to receive client updates, schedule changes, company updates and highlights.</li>
<li>Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training procedures. </li>
<li>Maintain a clean, insured vehicle that has had manufacturer’s recommended scheduled services. </li>
<li>Performs all tasks as noted in HHA, CNA or PCA job description. </li>

Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Supervisor and Program Coordinator, the P&amp;R Counselor is responsible for the direct supervision of program participants and P&amp;R Aides. <li>Report any unusual incidents</li>
<li>Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergences</li>
