Position Summary:

Provide oversight to the Business Office operations. Oversee activities of the Business Office for accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and analysis, state-mandated reporting, and annual audits and budgets.


Essential Responsibilities:

· Oversee activities of Business Office ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, petty cash management, cash flow projections, payroll processing and expense processing including payroll tax compliance

· Prepare, in consultation with the CFO, the annual operating budget, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and state guidelines, and the organization’s annual capital budget

· Develop metrics that can be used to understand the revenue and cost drivers that underlie the financial statements

· Coordinate the financial audit of year-end consolidated financial statements and manage any internal audit functions

· Design financial policies and procedures that are consistent with or exceed best practices within the non-profit business community

· Oversee Sr. Staff Accountant managing vehicle purchases/leases ensuring that funding source chosen is appropriate and registration, insurance, etc. is all in place once vehicles have been activated and registered annually with appropriate city/town.

· Identify and assess when new applications are needed related to business and accounting; work with team to define resources and implement.

· Ensure HIPAA security and privacy compliance as related to information shared with appropriate stakeholders [LL1][DD2]

· Teamwork, regular attendance in the office, and face-to-face interaction are essential job functions[LL3][DD4]

· Analyze Agency’s financial performance for senior management; interpret interim financial statement data for directors and managers upon request

· Ensure corporate tax filing compliance with accurate and timely completion of 990 form and quarterly payroll tax forms

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management required

· A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience with accounting and budgeting

· A minimum of 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience required
