About the Role

A growing technology manufacturing company located just outside of Boxborough, MA, is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to take ownership of their day-to-day financial operations. You'll be the backbone of financial accuracy, handling everything from accounts payable and receivable to month-end closings and payroll coordination. If you're someone who loves numbers, thrives on organization, and enjoys seeing the impact of your work in real time, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily accounting functions including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and journal entries

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in all postings and reports

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with updated data and insights

  • Manage payroll processing and liaise with external payroll providers for accuracy and compliance

  • Conduct inventory and cost accounting reconciliations in collaboration with operations

  • Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and internal control procedures

  • Partner with management to provide real-time reporting and financial dashboards in SAP Business One (SAP B1)

  • Handle ad hoc administrative and accounting projects to support daily operations

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)

  • Hands-on expertise with SAP Business One (SAP B1) required

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles, cost accounting, and reconciliations

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with MS Office Suite

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
