At Piper, we're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to join our team in Boston, MA. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory systems, optimizing stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and support smooth operational flow across departments. You will be required to work a schedule of Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. We are offering this nonexempt position $40.38 per hour.

The Inventory Control Manager will support engineering and field installation operations to establish and administer a new cloud-based Inventory Management Tracking System. The Inventory Control Manager will maintain daily records for invoices and shipments to identify which products need to be replenished.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews and analyzes inventory statistics.
  • Determines reorder points and ensures that sufficient levels of inventory are maintained.
  • Coordinates with other departments in the supply chain. Analyzes actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly.
  • Compiles reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, discrepancies and production problems.
  • Responsible for determining the quantity and availability of materials necessary for master production scheduling.
  • Administers cycle counts to ensure ordering is accurate and fulfills essential needs.
  • Resolves all inventory related supply issues.
  • Reviews trends to improve inventory operations including purchasing, materials, suppliers, and storage.
  • Supports financial cost containment through minimizing inventory loss, root-cause analyses, turnover rates, and space requirements.
  • Represents the organization's inventory needs when developing or maintaining supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred;(may substitute experience in lieu of education)
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Proficiency with Inventory Management tracking platform, Sortly and Open BOM a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
  • Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
  • Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
