Join Our Team as a Project Controller
Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and financially savvy? Do you enjoy solving problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and keeping projects on track? If you're known for your accountability, critical thinking, and strong communication skills—we want to hear from you.
We’re seeking a Project Controller to support the financial performance of key initiatives across our organization. In this role, you’ll work closely with project controllers, engineers, project leaders, and the Director of Business Operations to manage project budgets, schedules, and overall performance.
What Success Looks Like
You’re someone who can:
- Juggle multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
- Analyze labor and financial data to support project and account leaders
- Understand earned value principles to monitor project performance
- Read and interpret project schedules (WBS, budgets, resource loading)
- Collaborate with project and operations teams to keep everything running smoothly
Your Responsibilities
- Learn and follow business processes and systems to perform primary duties.
- Set up and maintain all required information on all assigned projects in the business system.
- Perform project time and expense entry in the system
- Issue and maintain subcontractor arrangements
- Organize and maintain electronic project documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate project invoicing and payment tracking
- Apply earned value principles to identify project variances.
- Handle all material ordering and tracking
- Generate reports on project performance including budget status, margin status, procurement status and material tracking, and labor reports.
- Collaborate with and support other project controllers.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in project accounting, finance, or a related role
- Solid understanding of revenue, cost control, invoicing, and cash flow
- Proficiency with workplace computer applications and a quick learner of new tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
