Location: St. Joseph’s Shelter – Hyannis, MA 02601
Schedule: Full-time
Pay Rate: $20.50-$24.50 per hour

We’re seeking a Daytime Program Coordinator to lead our daytime enrichment and support program — a dynamic role focused on creating meaningful, client-centered activities that foster life skills, confidence, and hope.

What You’ll Do:

As the Daytime Program Coordinator, you’ll bring structure, creativity, and compassion to daily programming that helps participants thrive. You will:

  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate daily activities such as life skills classes, workshops, support groups, and community outings.
  • Build strong relationships with participants while maintaining professional boundaries and a trauma-informed approach.
  • Partner with community organizations and volunteers to expand program offerings and opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that encourages stability, empowerment, and personal growth.
  • Support participants in developing practical skills — from housing readiness to financial literacy and computer basics.
  • Prepare and serve lunch when needed, ensuring a welcoming and respectful atmosphere.
  • Maintain documentation, attendance records, and progress reports accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate closely with shelter staff to ensure seamless coordination between day programming and shelter services.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in human services, housing, or homeless services.
  • Experience planning or facilitating group activities, workshops, or educational programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel locally.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus!
  • A strong commitment to compassion, dignity, and teamwork in support of ending homelessness.
