This position is responsible for maintaining the production flow through the processes in the Image department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow all short sheets, standard operating procedures and Amphenol’s company safety regulations.
- Perform/Document weekly process audits and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor/Audit records, logbook entries and documentation to ensure thorough and accurate completion using Excel.
- Coordinate activities of multiple tasks to ensure timely and efficient product movement. (output)
- Responsible for reviewing process change documents, training and certifying new operators including maintaining dept. training matrix.
- Work with process engineering group to assist in the identification of new or current processes, working to improve efficiencies and/or cost down opportunities.
- Take a lead role in identifying any quality issues with resolution to work towards ensuring that activities are driven to address these non-conformances and proper notification is made to management as required.
- Responsible for machine maintenance: Ensure Preventative Maintenance are performed regularly, contact the appropriate people when equipment is down.
- Notify management of any deficiencies in product work flow, with communication for priorities between departments and group leaders.
- Assists in planning overtime staffing of the department to support output requirements.
- Attends department meetings, tie-offs, ensuring smooth transition from one shift to the next.
- Assist in managing department goals for safety, training, productivity and growth of employees.
- Drive improvement work as needed using improvement tools i.e. Lean Six Sigma, TQM, etc.
- Perform and/or learn all the operations associated with the Image dept., including: Expose, LDI Expose, Chem Clean, Coat, Develop, Manual Clean, Artwork Inspection and Catching.
- May be required to cross train in other departments.
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
- This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven leadership abilities, prior group leader or coordinator experience.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, team-building and organization skills.
- Ability to maintain/develop reports, and analyze data – Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 35 lbs. safely.
- 2+ years of PCB experience.
- Prior Layer Image experience preferred.
