We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in Milford, New Hampshire. In this role, you will manage payroll operations for a growing workforce, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and company policies. This role will also assist with some accounts payable processing. Responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll for hourly employees and monthly payroll for salaried staff, covering approximately 700 U.S.-based employees.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns, along with year-end W-2 forms.
• Review and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage fringe benefit processes and oversee governmental payroll filings, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Assist with month-end journal entries and support corporate accounting tasks such as P-card reviews and 1099 vendor checks.
• Prepare compensation schedules for workers’ compensation renewals and audits while contributing to year-end audit schedules.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to provide support when needed.
• Utilize integrated payroll systems like Dayforce or Paylocity to streamline payroll processes.
• Maintain a well-organized work environment and proactively address payroll-related issues.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of payroll experience, including processing payroll for organizations with 250+ employees.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with integrated payroll systems such as Dayforce, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
• Basic accounting knowledge and experience with general ledger ERPs like Oracle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle payroll complexities.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and adherence to company policies and procedures.
