• Promotes an environment where everyone can learn, grow and encourages residents to focus on recovery and education.
• Appoints and supervises the House Managers including the maintenance of an education plan (check list), goal sheet and progress notes on all residents and brings them to the office for filing.
• Listens to the concerns of the staff, mentors and provides support and guidance encouraging ongoing education for the HnH staff.
• Ensures all beds are full. Conducts applicant interviews and makes final decision on resident acceptance. The Chief Operating Officer likewise makes the final decision when to terminate a resident.
• Ensures that community fees are accurately and fully collected by the House manager and takes them to the Office Manager. If issues arise they refer the resident to available resources and effectively address any problems within HnH policy guidelines. He/she insures that the Office Manager properly records and makes deposits of all income.
• Conducts weekly staff meetings with House Managers to make sure HnH policy and procedures are being enforced and address any issues regarding the program and community as a whole.
• Meet individually with the House managers to review each resident's educational progress, the grounds and housekeeping details and needs for each house.
• Monitors and responds to the education plan (check list) and goal sheet for each House Manager.
• Administers drug and alcohol screens on a random basis.
• Transports House managers and residents as needed.
• Acts as the emergency on-call contact person for House Managers when police, fire or rescue are required.
• Attends monthly HnH Board meetings and presents a monthly report on bed occupancy, fee collection, and maintenance needs and expenses; staff issues; policy concerns and upcoming events. Follows all Board recommendations.
• With others HnH staff, volunteers or Board members, interacts with other community agencies to stay current with available services and other resources to promote and advance the HnH mission.
