Job title: Field Data Collector

Multiple Locations: Southern MA, Rhode Island, and Cape Cod

Day to Day: Walking must be able to walk outside and visually inspect utility poles.

Job Overview:

Seeking Field Data Collectors for utility pole inspections and field surveys in Southern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Cape Cod. This role involves walking outdoors in various weather conditions to inspect utility poles, cable attachments, and fiber optic cabling systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility pole attachments, construction, ground restoration, and flagging.

This is a fast-hire position for individuals looking to gain hands-on field experience in telecommunications and construction.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Rate: $32/hr.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Provided (Personal vehicle required)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of utility poles and document findings.
  • Assess cable attachments and fiber optic cabling systems for compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure accuracy in field data collection and reporting.
  • Perform ground restoration and flagging as needed.
  • Navigate various outdoor environments and walk to assigned utility poles.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in field data collection, utility pole inspections, or related work preferred.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic cabling systems and cable attachments.
  • Understanding of construction, flagging, and ground restoration.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must have a personal vehicle (Mileage reimbursement available).

Schedule & Duration:

  • Work is performed outdoors, walking to utility poles in designated areas

This is an excellent opportunity for junior field technicians or entry-level candidates looking to build experience in telecommunications, utility inspection, and field operations.
