Overview

Unique opportunity to work with the Havens dynamic Community Service Coordination team with a focus on individuals and families staying in local hotels. This role has become available due to an internal staff move to another position. The person in this position will eventually be based out of the Havens brand-new Leahy Shelter and Resource Center upon its expected opening in August, 2026. We are seeking open-minded, strengths-based candidates who have experience working collaboratively with community partners, have strong interpersonal skills, and are invested in working with adults and families who are experiencing homelessness. In this role, you will build trusting relationships and help our clients access resources to obtain and sustain permanent housing and support them in achieving their goals.

Compensation

This is a full-time, site-based, Monday to Friday position and the salary range is $52,000 to $57,000 depending on education and experience. Some evening hours may be required along with local travel using a work vehicle or personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure trauma-informed, consistent service delivery
  • Complete Coordinated Entry assessments
  • Assist clients with housing search and application completion
  • Connect clients with the appropriate resources and supports for a wide variety of needs including mental health, substance use, job supports, primary care, and more.
  • Assist clients to access public benefits like 3Squares, Medicaid, etc.
  • Carry an evolving caseload of single adults and families
  • Build solid and collaborative relationships with partner agencies
  • Maintain thorough and professional documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field required with a masters degree preferred
  • Experience in social services, nonprofit settings, or homeless services
  • Prior case management experience and/or related internships, volunteer work, or work experience in addition to formal education
  • Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, aging, mental health, and substance misuse
  • Relevant certifications in social work, mental health, or crisis intervention a plus
